PAO GAZPROM is a global energy company. Its major business lines are geological exploration, production, transportation, storage, processing and sales of gas, gas condensate and oil, as well as generation and marketing of heat and electric power.

GAZPROM views its mission in reliable, efficient and balanced supply of natural gas, other energy resources and their derivatives to consumers.

GAZPROM holds the world’s largest natural gas reserves. The Company’s share in the global and Russian gas reserves makes up around 18 and some 72 per cent respectively. GAZPROM accounts for about 77 per cent of the Russian and 15 per cent of the global gas production. At present, the Company actively implements large-scale projects aimed at exploiting gas resources of the Yamal Peninsula, the Arctic Shelf, Eastern Siberia and the Far East, as well as hydrocarbons exploration and production projects abroad.

Reliable supplier of gas

GAZPROM is a reliable supplier of gas to Russian and foreign consumers. The Company owns the world’s largest gas transmission network – the Unified Gas Supply System of Russia with the total length of 164.7 thousand km. GAZPROM sells more than half of overall produced gas to Russian consumers and exports gas to more than 30 countries within and beyond the former Soviet Union.

GAZPROM is the only producer and exporter of liquefied natural gas in Russia.

The Company is among Russia’s five largest oil producers and the largest owner of power generating assets in the country. These assets account for 17 per cent of the total installed capacity of the national energy system.

GAZPROM pursues the strategic objective of establishing itself as a leader among global energy companies by diversifying sales markets, ensuring reliable supplies, increasing operational efficiency, as well as exploiting science and technology potential.

Zenit St. Petersburg

It all started with Zenit St. Petersburg. Together with the 2007, 2010, 2012 and 2015 Russian champions, GAZPROM has helped the club from the "Venice of the North" become a major force. In 2008, Zenit caught Europe's eye by winning the UEFA Cup and UEFA Super Cup. Over 60% of St. Petersburg’s population are Zenit fans and many of them cheer the team on during home games at their Petrovsky Stadium.

FC Schalke 04

In 2007 another club became part of the GAZPROM family, the first partnership outside Russia. FC Schalke 04 are seven-time German champions and have excelled in recent years with some extraordinary performances in the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League. The working-class club from the Ruhr Valley, the industrial heart of Germany, was the ideal partner for GAZPROM, mainly because of its exceptional fans. No wonder then, that the sponsorship contract was extended until 2017.

Red Star Belgrade (FC Crvena Zvezda)

Another successful partnership for GAZPROM has been the involvement with Crvena Zvezda (Red Star Belgrade) from Serbia. Since 2010, GAZPROM has been involved with the club founded in 1945 as a shirt sponsor, hoardings sponsor and supporter of the youth teams. GAZPROM was delighted to become the club's main sponsor not just because they are the record Serbian champions and cup winners, but also because over four million people in the Balkan countries, from all walks of life, are passionate supporters of Crvena Zvezda.

UEFA Champions League

GAZPROM has been an official partner of the UEFA Champions League since the start of the 2012/2013 season. Each year, the UEFA Champions League provides the benchmark for European clubs to test themselves and compete for the top footballing prize on the continent. The best of the best meet in the group stages and knockout matches right up to the final to determine the Champions of Europe. The commitment to Europe's showpiece competition was a logical step for GAZPROM as it further develops its footballing partnerships.

Official FIFA Partner

Since early 2015, GAZPROM is an official partner of the FIFA. The partnership, of course, includes: The 2018 FIFA World Cup which was held in Russia for the first time. Already a year earlier, in summer 2017, the country saw the FIFA Confederations Cup where eight teams played in the stadiums of Saint Petersburg, Moscow, Kazan and Sochi and the then reigning World Cup champions Germany secured the trophy.

Between 14 June and 15 July 2018, the world of football saw a great and peaceful World Cup tournament. 169 goals were scored in 64 games, 14 of which helped France to come out as world champions in the end.
