Successful start for Zenit

Two weeks after the end of the FIFA World Cup, the Russian Premier League is back on the scene. Fortunately, Zenit Saint Petersburg got off to a good start and managed a late but deserved 2-0 win against FC Yenisey Krasnoyarsk thanks to goals by Dzyuba and Kuzyaev.

Tomorrow, Saturday, the Blue-Whie-Sky Blues will play their first home game of the season against Arsenal Tula - A match that is awaited with great anticipation, especially from Zenit’s new manager Sergey Semak: “The arena is amazing. We are expecting a full house at the match and we know the fans will support us.“

Next week the team will start on the international stage: In the third qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League (9th/16th August), Zenit will face FK Dinamo Minsk.
