Red Star fired up for UEFA Champions League

Things couldn’t be going better for Red Star Belgrade at the moment: Thanks to two clear victories against Lithuanian club Sūduva Marijampolė, Crvena Zvezda managed to reach the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League.

There, the team of Vladan Milojević will face Spartak Trnava (Slovakia) on 7 August. Hence chances are good that this year, Red Star will compete in Europe’s premier competition for the first time since 1992.

In the Serbian league, everything is running smoothly too: With six points and 5-0 goals out of the first two matches, the reigning champions are already leading the SuperLiga again. Tomorrow, Saturday, the team wants to celebrate the next victory away at FK Vozdovac.
