50 year anniversary of the Marakana stadium in Belgrade
The famous Marakana, now Stadium Rajko Mitić, has been the home ground of FC Crvena zvezda since 1963 and celebrated a fulminant 50th birthday in 2013.

Opening of the GAZPROM Arena in St. Petersburg
On April 22nd, 2017, the new home ground of FC Zenit "The Gazprom Arena" with a capacity of up to 68,134 spectators opens in St. Peterburg. In its history, the stadium has already hosted seven matches of each the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the UEFA EURO 2020.

Founding of the Youth Football League in Russia (YFL)
Supported by main partner Gazprom, the Youth Football League has been established in 2019 to reform the youth competition system in Russia and ease the transition of youth footballers to professionals.

Ten years after the double in 2010, FC Zenit again wins the Russian Championship and Cup.


Football for Friendship with another GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title!
In 2020, Football for Friendship was awarded another GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title, with the online freestyle football masterclass bringing together athletes from over 100 countries for most users in a football/soccer video hangout.

As a culmination of the Eighth Season of Football for Friendship, the Grand Final Show took place. The online show included the 2020 Football for Friendship eWorld Championship Final with a winner presentation, as well as the announcement of the International Football for Friendship Award winner.



Release of the new football simulator "Football for Friendship World"
On December 10th, 2020, on the World Football Day, the new Football for Friendship World game, a multiplayer football simulator, was released. The simulator is based on the most important values of the international children's social programme, such as friendship, peace and equality.


Gazprom becomes Partner of UEFA Euro 2020 and renews UEFA Champions League Sponsorship for the period 2021-24
Aside of UEFA EURO 2020, the UEFA National Team Football sponsorship also includes UEFA EURO 2024 tournament as well as the Nations League Finals in 2021 and 2023.
