FC Bayern Munich is the UEFA Champions League winner 2019/2020!
Expectations were high for the UEFA Champions League final at the Estádio da Luz in Lisbon, with FC Bayern München and Paris Saint-Germain starring the best European teams in one match and both teams only playing for one dream: Lifting the prestigious UEFA Champions League trophy at this evening!
It took a while before the first scoring opportunity of the match - but then several big chances arose within a few minutes: Neuer saved against Neymar in the 18th minute with an outstanding foot defence, while on the opposite side Lewandowski was only centimetres short when he shot against the inside post in the 22nd minute. A deflected Herrera drop kick rushed just past the goal in the 29th minute, Lewandowski failed to score with an artistic header against Navas shortly afterwards. Neuer was able to prevent a goal in the duel against Mbappe before half-time, so the first 45 minutes went without goals.
In a rather quiet phase, however, the time had come: Kimmich put a precise cross on Coman, who headed the ball into the long corner against the direction of PSG goalkeeper Navas in the 59th minute. Despite further chances, no club was able to get the ball behind the line. FC Bayern Munich won the UEFA Champions League Final 2020 with 1-0 against Paris Saint-Germain!
Congratulations to FC Bayern Munich for winning the UEFA Champions League season 2019/2020!
