Martinez’ decisive header gives FC Bayern Munich UEFA Super Cup win

After having completed the triple, they added the UEFA Super Cup to their triumphs: FC Bayern Munich wins in Budapest 2-1 in extra time. Fairly challenged from FC Sevillas pressing strategy in the first place, the Bavarian Champions League winner beat the Europa League winner at the end of the match.

Though Ocampos gave Sevilla a 1-0 lead from the penalty spot in the 13th minute, the Bavarians equalized right before halftime with a goal from Goretzka: 1-1. The final turnaround came in minute 99, when Flick substituted Javi Martinez whose header in minute 104 puts Bayern in front. By having completed the quadruple, the 32-year-old midfielder provided the Bavarians a perfect leaving gift.
